Who will be teaching lessons?
Instructors
are music educators who are hired by the Community Education Department
based on the recommendation of David Jost, Fine Arts Director.
Where and when will lessons be offered?
Lessons
will be held at Mill Pond School or Westborough High School. Lessons
may be scheduled in 45 minute or 60 minute increments. Scheduling is
handled directly between instructor and parent.
How long are the lessons and what is the cost?
Length of lesson - 45 mins or 60 mins
Cost of lesson: $45.00 per lesson of 45 mins / $60.00 per lesson of 60 mins
How soon after I submit my registration form will I hear from the instructor?
Once
registration forms are received, they are processed and passed along to
David Jost who helps match students with a suitable teacher. Lessons
generally begin within one week of registration.
What is being offered?
Students in grades 3: String Lessons
Students in grades 4-12: Woodwind, Strings, Brass, and Percussion
Students in grades 3-12: Voice Lessons
We are now offering Guitar Lessons for those in grades 4 and above - all styles, all levels
How is billing handled?
The
Community Education Department prepares statements on a monthly basis.
Statements must be paid in full upon receipt. Billing is done based on
instructor attendance records. Please make checks payable to "WCEP."
Do I receive credit for missed lessons?
If
you need to cancel a lesson, please call the instructor directly. If a
minimum of 24 hours notice is given, you will not be billed for a missed
lesson. If there is less than 24 hours notice, you will be responsible
for paying the instructor for the lesson time. Exceptions are made only
if the student has been dismissed from school due to illness.
